AUTUMN TERM 2020

WEDS 23rd SEPTEMBER

Good morning everyone. I am just confirming that after yesterday’s government announcement we are still able to carry on with classes. There are a few changes however. All students aged 12 and over must wear a mask on entering and exiting the building and whilst using the toilet. Masks are not needed when dancing. Also each building will be displaying a QR code. I have discovered that these are only to be used by adults entering the building and that students will still need to bring along the health sheet. I am working on a new sheet so that they are required on a longer timescale . Please bear with me and I will get the new form out to you shortly. Keep up the great work that you are all doing. Love Tracy

MONDAY 24th AUGUST

Dear Parents & Students

We are on the final countdown to the reopening of Dee School of Dance at some of our venues. Classes will commence from Saturday 5th September and the revised timetable is below. Thank you to those of you who have contacted me with your intentions for this coming half term. I am sure that you will agree that these are unprecedented times and I sincerely appreciate your continued support. I will contact those of you that I haven’t heard from over the coming days or if you would like to get in touch please do. I have all government guidelines in place for the venues that we will be using and procedure for attending can be found in the Dee School Policy below . Please adhere to the new format so that classes can run smoothly.

I hope that you are as excited as I am for September and I am so looking forward to seeing you all. Lastly I am in talks with the IDTA regarding the October Exams and at this time they will be taking place. Once I have a full list of students taking their exams I will send out the revised timetable. Examination fees will be carried over for those of you who paid for the April exams.

Keep safe everyone and here’s to great times ahead.

SUMMER TERM 2020

FRIDAY 24th JULY

Dear Parents & Students

We have all been through an unusual and unexpected situation. I personally wanted to write and thank you for your support and loyalty during these strange times. At last it is now possible for dance schools to reopen under strict conditions. Whilst our mission is to continue to meet the quality standards which you are accustomed to as well as providing you with a unique dance experience every time you visit our school, this is not an easy task, taking into account the various restrictions and procedures that will accompany us in the coming weeks.

Before opening, it was important to me to create an above average re-opening concept and ensuring thorough preparation. Hastily opening without a complete concept for your health and safety would simply be irresponsible. In preparing our concept I have worked together with a specialist in the area of health and safety in dance.

We are gradually reopening, starting initially with summer dance days and private lessons for exam work over the summer holidays. Details of this can be found on the Dee School What’s App group and here on the website. From September some of our venues are available whilst others won’t be reopening until October. For this reason there will have to be a temporary rescheduled timetable. Please check below to see the proposed timetable for Sept. This is subject to change before the term starts on 5th Sept as more venues may become available. Naturally, it may take a while until we can operate normally and in the way as you know and love. Whilst this may cause some inconvenience to parents and students I hope that it will be for half a term only and I thank you for your patience and understanding. Further details, as well as any amendment to the class plan which may affect you in the interim we will send you via Email, WhatsApp in your group and in our closed Facebook page.

Enjoy your summer holidays and I can’t wait to see you again when we reopen our weekly classes on Saturday 5th September.

I can’t wait to give you a big hug, (but we can’t just yet).

Take care and stay safe

Tracy

PS. Did you know that dancing is recommended as an important element to strengthen your Immune System?

UPDATE SUNDAY 22nd MARCH

CLASSES
Dear Students & Parents it is with a saddened heart that I have to inform you that classes are closed with immediate effect due to Covid19. Whilst every precaution has been taken within the school over the last few weeks I think that closing is now the sensible thing to do in order to keep everyone safe.
I am looking into online classes and if these are feasible they will begin the week after the original Easter break. If you would like to keep in touch with myself and other students during this difficult time I have set up a What’s App group. If you would like to join us just text me with your mobile number and I will add you to the group. Keep checking the website and our Facebook page for any updates and information.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support and lets hope we will all be dancing together soon.

Stay safe
Kindest Regards
Tracy xxxxx

UPDATE-  THURSDAY 19th MARCH

As you will now know the schools are closing from Friday and this will include Grange Park. Therefore from Weds 25th April classes will be moved to the times and venues below. Also the Monday ballet classes can also not be held. Grade 1 at 4.30pm and Grade 2 at 5pm will therefore be cancelled until further notice which hopefully won’t be too long. In view of the upcoming exams which are still scheduled for 6th April Grade 3 at 6pm and Grade 4 at 7pm will be rescheduled for Sat as set out below, if the situation does not change beforehand. I would like to thank you all for your continued support and understanding at the extremely difficult time. Stay safe everyone

Tracy

UPDATE- MONDAY 16th MARCH
Dear Parents & Students
Whilst Grange Park School is still open for classes I have been asked by the school that parents just drop and collect their children from classes as there will be no waiting area available for parents and siblings etc.
Many Thanks for your co operation
